Data Deletion Guide

Effective: 09 September 2026 Version: 1.0.0 App: BharatGeoTag 0.31.0+34 Provider: Trivartha

1. Overview

BharatGeoTag is a local-first application. The photos you capture, the projects you create, your custom stamp templates and your company branding all live on your device inside the application's private documents directory. We do not operate a server that mirrors this data, so most "deletion" simply means removing it from your phone.

This page walks you through every deletion path: the in-app Erase my data action, the limited data held on Google / Apple infrastructure (for Pro purchases), and how to write to us for any further request.

Looking to delete your account / Trivartha profile? See our Account Deletion page. To delete the device-resident content only, continue below.

2. In-app "Erase my data" (recommended)

The fastest and most complete way to delete the data BharatGeoTag holds for you is the Erase my data action built into the app. It uses the DataWipeService to atomically delete every file under the app's documents directory and reset every repository to its in-memory defaults.

Steps

  1. Open the app. Launch BharatGeoTag from your home screen.
  2. Go to Settings. Tap the gear icon in the All Tools list on the home screen.
  3. Open the Privacy group. Scroll to the Privacy section.
  4. Tap "Erase my data". A confirmation dialog explains exactly what will be deleted. Read it carefully.
  5. Confirm. Tap Erase. The action runs a serialised wipe; a snack-bar confirms when it is complete.
This action is irreversible. Once confirmed, deleted photos, projects, visits, inspections, properties and custom templates cannot be recovered. Export any PDF Field Reports you want to keep before tapping Erase.

3. What Gets Deleted

4. What We Retain & Why

A small set of records is not removed by Erase my data, because doing so would either break the Service, conflict with our legal obligations, or simply fall outside our reach:

ItemReasonHow to remove it
Pro entitlement in platform secure storageKept so you don't lose access if you later re-install or sign in on a new device. Encrypted at rest by the OS (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain / Linux libsecret / Windows DPAPI).Use Restore purchases from the Pro screen, then sign out. See §6 below.
Files you already shared or exportedOnce you tap Share, a copy leaves your device through the OS share sheet. We have no further copy.Delete from the recipient app (e.g. WhatsApp, Gmail, Files).
Backup copies made by the OSSome Android OEMs auto-back-up app data to Google Drive or a vendor cloud. We do not control those copies.Disable BharatGeoTag from your phone's Backup settings, or wipe the backup.
Device caches managed by the OSSystem thumbnails, recent-apps snapshots, etc.Clear app cache from Settings → Apps → BharatGeoTag → Storage → Clear cache.
Tax invoices for Pro purchasesRequired to be retained by Indian tax law (typically 6 years from the financial year-end).These are issued by Google Play / Apple, not by us. Email support@trivartha.com for a copy of any invoice we have forwarded.

5. Cloud-side / Play Store Data

BharatGeoTag does not maintain its own cloud backend. The only server-side records that exist for you are:

You can request deletion of any of the above by emailing us — see §6.

6. Requesting Further Deletion

If you would like us to act on data that Erase my data cannot reach (for example, the support email thread, or a Pro entitlement you want wiped before re-installing on a different account), email support@trivartha.com from the address you originally contacted us with, and include:

  1. The email address tied to the data you want erased.
  2. The approximate date and subject of the communication (if requesting deletion of an email thread).
  3. The Google Play order ID or App Store order ID (if requesting deletion of a purchase record).
  4. A one-line statement that you are the Data Principal or their authorised nominee.

We may need to verify your identity before acting, to prevent unauthorised deletion requests — a standard requirement under §10 of the DPDP Act.
